The XR4Register at Sporting Escorts National Day - Sun 12th July 2009

The weather leading up to this show was very wet and even on the day it looked dark and gloomy. The weather may have put a lot of people off from attending, but, Geraldine of SEOC had assured us that she had booked 'fine weather' for their National day, and once again, she didn't let us down!

Held at Wicksteed Park near Kettering, this show has everything for a great family day out. Its picturesque setting makes it one of the most relaxing and chilled out events on our calendar.

Although not a vast gathering of cars or guest clubs as seen at other regional shows, SEOC stunning selection of Escorts will have every one reminiscing of days gone by and wishing they had kept that 'ole Escort their dad had. Sigh..

A small turn out on the XR4 Register stand, but a relaxing atmosphere was just what the Doc ordered. Especially after seeing Gengis's amazing Twin Turbo XR4x4 with newly rebuilt engine and new turbos the size of big flower pots ! The mind boggles !
