The XR4Register Profile - Alan Tolley

Ford Sierra XR4i 2.8

Photo Gallery for Alan's XR4i

This is my newly acquired XR4i that I purchased from Chris an XROC club member. This car came about when I was looking for some parts for my previous XR4x4 (which I was trying to restore) when Chris presented me with this car.

I fell in love with it straight away!. It looked stunning. The best thing about the car is that it was totally standard and also in red, as there is not a red XR4i with the XR4 Register Motley Crew. It only has a bit of rust on the tailgate so I best get the Blue Peter book out to sort it out!.

When talking to Chris I told him that I was with the XR4 Register club and he asked if Bhav was still there because not so long ago Bhav was interested in buying the car. After a chat we came to a gentleman's agreement and I bought the car.

Unlike my Sierra GT, there will be no Blue Peter parts going on this car!. It will be staying totally standard, with the only exception of maybe a set of 15" Ford Motorsport alloys. I think it's best to keep these cars standard because they are getting harder to find in this condition and they will be worth more in this condition as more XR4i's are being modified.

So at last I have a very nice XR for show use and my GT for everyday use. This will make the girlfriend happy, but now that I have two cars to play with, I think I may get some hassle over the coming months.

Oh well needs must, as cars come first!
