The XR4Register at Practical Performance Show - Sat 28th May 2011

This was our second year at the Practical Performance Show. The weather thankfully stayed dry and the sun did appear from time to time. Being a Saturday show it isnt easy to get a good turn out because of work comitments but Bhav with his XR8, Ralph Fiesta ST150, John XR4x4TT, Paul XR4x4 and myself XR4X4TT turned up for what was a really good day. Like last year there was plenty to see with track action all day and an auto test. One chap even took his Transit diesel on the circuit and autotest who was giving it some stick, another guy almost rolled his vintage race car on the auto test!

The best thing about the show is the huge assortment of cars that you get there form 1930 race cars to MGF powered Hillman Imps to 10500 bhp tractors. The staff of Practical Performance Mag turn out with there usual array of cars like a 27 litre Rover SD1, 1971 Rolls Royce Turbo track day car and a Mk1 5 litre V8 Transit. Bhav almost convinced himself that the 10500bhp tractor engine would fit in a Sierra (yes Bhav I know it only had six cylinders but the 3 turbos were the size of small elephants!) but when Bhav gets an idea in his head.........

This really is a show not to be missed so hopefully we can get a bigger crowd together next year. See you at the Pod June 6th.
