The XR4Register at Ace Cafe Meet 13th February 2006
Ace Cafe - All Ford's Night 2nd Monday of the Month

Alan aka 'Bart' has been on medication as we didn't go the ACE cafe in Jan 2006. He seriously had some 'side effects' so this was his 1st outing to Ace cafe this year, also being accompanied by Bhav!

The crowds were gathered & waiting from early evening. With a car park full of varied Fords from yester year to modern, a bar full of drink & food and a street full of sideways action and smoke... they were not disappointed!

Although an All Fords Nite, there are always some surprise visits from other makes 'trying' to show how it 'should' be done. But for sideways action, there's no beating the 'Old Skool Escort' boys.

Talking of surprises, we bumped into Chris from PE who was showing his car. Even though he is a 'cockney' this was his first EVER visit to the ACE.

Things were hotting up on the strip and a BMW Coupe left everyone for smoke, literally!. No one could come close (perhaps as they couldn't see!) to the smoke output from the tyres of this car. We doubt if those tyres had 1.6 mm left after their stint.

After finding our way through the smoke, inhaling some air without rubber particles and locating the car, it was time to head home. Ok we couldn't go without Al's input...

Sadly the grip on his tyres was too much and not much smoke appeared. We best come equipped with some bald tyres and gas masks next time.
