Enfield Pageant Show 30-31st May 2004

STOP PRESS - Even though this show was cancelled (There was a lot of interest shown at the beginning of the year to attend this event but had to cancel due to lack of interest), our dedicated bunch decided to check it out and let everyone know what it was like and what you lot missed out on, well here you go.

This show would have cost us nothing so it was a bit harsh paying the £7 for the entrance tickets each. However, once inside there was certainly a lot to see ! The Enfield Motoring Pageant was certainly that! Stacks of motors from way back when to some new dealers tempting us to part with our XRs, the thought of loosing 2 cylinders & a rear axle wasn't gonna sway us !

The Dunston clan (yampy side piped XR4i with mad grafx), with the Hallam clan (still on drive way pending engine swap after 3+ years) & the Powells (XR unusual & quackers impersonator) with Bhav (pat pending) spent a hectic day where there wasn't enough time to see the whole event !

This folks is a very busy show over 3 days with camping on site and entertainment for the exhibitors at nite time in the main gy-normus marquee ! although not as big as T&C, it certainly needs more than a day to get round it all.

From the small fair ground, all the car clubs and all those trade stands (around 700 !) its something that we certainly hope to check out next year for 2 days at least. A nice bank hol Sunday for those that went. Check it out and see wot u missed out on. - Bhav
